BCA Architects & Engineers is pleased to announce that Volker Husel, AIA has been named a new Owner. Volker is a licensed Architect with over 30 years of architectural design and business management experience with design expertise in K-12 educational design, healthcare, government, and commercial projects.
Volker joined BCA in 2020 to serve as the firm’s Chief Process and Innovation Officer (CPIO). In that role, he is a strategic business leader in the company, leading firm-wide business decisions that impact and improve our core processes and project workflows.
Volker is charting a path of continual improvement at BCA by implementing measures that ensure BCA is operating as smoothly and efficiently as possible. These measures are developed in support of our day-to-day business processes and our long-term strategic vision in all areas of the firm including IT, business development, innovation, and communication. Volker is an expert in A/E business process management. His ideas and opinions are sought after by software companies internationally and he is frequently invited to speak at conferences and conventions on the topic of A/E business process management.
Volker is a graduate of the University of Stuttgart with a Master of Architecture and Urban Planning. He works in BCA’s Saratoga Springs office and lives in Brunswick, NY with his wife, Michelle. Volker is an avid woodworker, starting with an apprenticeship in a little shop in his hometown of Alerheim, Germany starting when he was 14 years old.
