Jefferson Community College Scholarship |
|
Mark Southcott was the

Kelly E.
Reinhardt recently graduated from the
Jefferson Leadership Institute sponsored by
The Greater Watertown-North Country Chamber
of Commerce. This group solicits local
businesses and not for profits for
individuals within their organizations who have
demonstrate leadership within their
companies, organizations and their
communities.
The future
of the Jefferson County is directly linked
to the quality of its leadership.
Dedicated, trained and motivated community
leaders will shape and determine the future
of our region. The Jefferson Leadership
Institute is a leadership development
program that immerses participants n
community issues through eleven full-day
sessions. The curriculum enables
participants to develop their leadership
capabilities, build strong relationships and
encourage involvement in effecting positive
change in the community. Established in
1991, an average class size of twenty each
year has led to over 289 people who are now
part of our growing alumni. |

Operation Kid Comfort
|
|

|
Linda Rohde, Exec.
Administrative Assistant at Bernier, Carr &
Associates, is participating in the Project
Strong/Operation Kid Comfort program. She has
made 10 quilts so far and keeps sewing!
Operation Kid Comfort provides
photo quilts to children (at no cost to the family)
of deployed military parents for all branches of the
Armed Services. The program operates on
donations – both volunteer quilters and materials
for them to make the quilts. Since the program
began at the Watertown Family YMCA in October 2006,
approximately 350 quilts have been made by 75
volunteer quilters.

the daughter and grandchildren of Jackie Tunstall,
Receptionist at Bernier, Carr & Associates.
The children's father is currently stationed in
Iraq. |

American
Heart Association Heart Walk |
|
2007-Bernier, Carr and Associates participated in
the local American Heart Association Heart
Walk. A giving campaign was held in house
prior to the walk where the entire office
supported the walkers.

North Country Reads
|
|
Bernier, Carr & Associates, P.C. assisted
the North Country Reads project by providing
design services for their marketing pieces,
invitations, and traveling displays. |

ceremonies for retirements,

Linda's Quilts |
|
|
This Fall Quilt
was lovingly made by Linda Rohde,
Administrative Assistant at Bernier, Carr &
Associates, in support of the Children's
Christmas Gift and Fund Drive.
Everyone donating
to the drive was
placed in a drawing held at the end of the
evening.
Daryl Clemons won the quilt and will be comforted
by it
this holiday season.

Festival of Trees
|
|
 |
|
Bernier, Carr and Associates, P.C.
participated in this year's North
Country Festival of Trees by
decorating this 6' tree in a Winter
Wonderland theme with approximately
300 snowflakes and icicles, and
800 lights! The annual event
benefits children's programs and
services through the Watertown
Family YMCA and the Samaritan
Foundation. Approximately 50 trees
are decorated and auctioned off to
the community during the event.
Bernier, Carr and Associates is
pleased to support the Samaritan
Foundation and YMCA through this fun
event. |

Christopher G. Bova, Graphics Designer with Bernier,
Carr and Associates, P.C. was recently recognized
for his photographic abilities in a contest
highlighting the North Country. Mr. Bova won second
place in the Schools category for his photo of
Watertown City School District's Case Middle School. |

Bernier, Carr & Associates, P.C. welcomes back platoon |
|
Bernier, Carr and Associates, P.C.
welcomed back our platoon from Iraq
with a luncheon. Captain Rob Eyman
presented Bernie H. Brown Jr., CEO
with an American flag that was flown
in Iraq during their deployment as a
token of appreciation for our
support. Staff was glad to be able
to talk with the soldiers and hear
about their experiences in Iraq and
their future plans.

Linda's Quilts |
|

|
Linda R. Rohde, an
Administrative Assistant at Bernier, Carr &
Associates, P.C. made this beautiful quilt
to be auctioned at the 13th annual Hospice
Charity Cup Regatta.
Linda
has donated over 30 quilts to various
charities in recent years. She has also
made over 30 quilts for children born
to employees of the Bernier Carr Group.
These beautiful quilts are treasured by the
charities and little ones that receive them. |
